Ember exists to help people preserve the stories, memories, dreams, and moments that matter most.

Every person who joins Ember contributes to the community we are building together.

This policy explains the standards that help keep Ember secure, respectful, and welcoming for everyone.

Most people will never need to think about this policy.

It exists simply to protect the people who trust Ember with their stories.

Our Philosophy

We believe people deserve technology that feels safe.

That safety comes from thoughtful design, clear expectations, and mutual respect.

Rather than creating unnecessary rules, we focus on protecting the people, stories, and experiences that make Ember meaningful.

1. Using Ember Responsibly

When using Ember, we ask that you:Use Ember honestly and lawfully.Respect the privacy of others.Protect your account credentials.Share content only when you have the right to do so.Treat other users with kindness and respect.Help us maintain a safe and trustworthy platform.

2. Protecting Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.Please:Choose a strong password.Keep your sign-in information private.Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.Use available security features where appropriate.Helping protect your account also helps protect the stories entrusted to Ember.

3. Content You Share

You are responsible for the content you create, upload, or share using Ember.Please ensure that your content:Belongs to you or is shared with appropriate permission.Does not violate applicable laws.Respects the privacy and rights of others.Ember does not claim ownership of your content, but we may remove content where necessary to protect users, comply with legal obligations, or enforce these policies.

4. Activities That Are Not Permitted

To protect the Ember community, you may not:Attempt unauthorized access to Ember systems or accounts.Upload malicious software or harmful code.Circumvent security measures.Interfere with the operation or reliability of Ember services.Use Ember to commit fraud or unlawful activities.Impersonate another person in a way that causes harm or deception.Use Ember to violate another person's privacy or legal rights.Attempt to disrupt or misuse AI services or platform functionality.Use automated systems in ways that negatively affect the platform or other users.

5. Protecting the Platform

We continually work to maintain a secure and reliable service.To help us do that, please do not:Attempt to discover or exploit security vulnerabilities.Reverse engineer services where prohibited by law.Interfere with system monitoring or security protections.Use Ember in ways that could damage or overload our systems.If you discover a potential security issue, we encourage you to report it responsibly so we can investigate and resolve it.

6. Enforcement

We hope enforcement is rarely necessary.However, to protect the community and the platform, Ember may:Remove content that violates these policies.Limit access to certain features.Suspend accounts.Terminate accounts in serious or repeated cases.Cooperate with lawful requests from appropriate authorities where required.Whenever practical, we will seek fair and reasonable outcomes before taking permanent action.
